Ghana Summit Oil, Gas and Power Conference & Exhibition
The 4th Annual Ghana Summit conference and exhibition took place at the Accra International Conference Centre, in Accra (Ghana) on 23-25 April 2013. Ghana Summit once again proved to be the must attend event for the Ghanaian oil, gas and power stakeholders.
During the opening ceremony Honourable Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Minister of Energy & Petroleum, addressed the delegates saying:
“The President has instructed me to extend his good wishes to participants and to pledge that his government will not hesitate to consider recommendations that will emerge from this summit […] The Government’s vision for the energy sector is to develop an energy economy that will ensure a reliable supply of high quality energy services for all sectors of the Ghanaian economy and also become a major exporter of oil and power by 2012 and 2015 respectively. The vision also includes achieving at least 10% contribution of modern renewable energy services in the electricity generation mix by 2020. The Government is focused on this vision and is working around the clock to ensure that this vision is realized within the target Period”
